Jonas Brothers Eliminate Ticket Fees To Help Fans During The Recession

Kevin Jonas says he remembers a time when the Jonas family couldn't afford to go out.

Anyone who's bought a concert ticket online knows that corporations like Live Nation and Ticketmaster will find any excuse to rob you blind. Try to buy a few tickets in advance and you'll be blindsided with "convenience fees" that raise the purchase price by as much as 50%.
To help fans who can't afford expensive tickets, the Jonas Brothers are offering fee-free tickets for their tour. They even played a free show in Los Angeles and will put on another in Washington this week.

Nick Jonas said, "We have a close relationship with our fans, and this is one way to help them out." Though it's hard to remember, there was a time before the Jonas Brothers were a household name. Kevin says he recalls not having enough money for the family to go to concerts.

Papa Jonas added, "I'll speak as a dad. It can be difficult to buy one ticket, much less three or four. When you eliminate any fees, it makes it much more possible."

It's great to see the Jonas Brothers helping out! Hopefully more bands will stick up for their fans and ask concert promoters to drop the unnecessary fees.

Does this news make it more likely that you'll get a chance to see the Jonas Brothers this year?
