Happy Friday everyone! I can't believe it has been almost a week since we have been home from vacation! It's always hard to get settled and organized after getting home I think and it's been a bit of a busy week!
ONE
I love when I win awesome giveaways! Thanks so Canadian Box Addict and Sweet Reads Box I won the January Sweet Reads Box! I love the idea of of a book box, I just don't generally treat myself to something like this!
Sweet Reads Box is a Canadian Book subscription that is $49.99 CAN + shipping. Each month you receive a best selling novel, an item connected to the story theme, a delicious drink, and a sweet treat.
This month's book is "Mitzi Bytes" by Kerry Clarke which sounds like it's about someone writing an anonymous blog and her identity is threatening to be exposed! It's supposed to be a nice light read. They actually tied all the products in to theme of the book - the Earl Grey tea is the character's favorite drink, perfect snacks in the chocolate bar and apple chips (there was 2 bags in this month's box), a little notebook and a cute phone stand.
What a cute subscription!
TWO
I bought this white Ikea desk a little while ago and I primarily use this for doing my makeup on it and it holds a lot of my products. But, the white top was getting super dirty and was not coming off, so I bought this marble background a little while ago for some blogging pictures; but, was just rolling it back up after each use! So, I got my husband to help and we just covered the top. I love how it turned out! And, eventually if I don't like it or it gets too dirty, it just peels off!
THREE
Did you guys check out my HUGE U.S.A. shopping haul this week?! I was so excited getting home from trip that I had to get my post up right away! I may have went a little crazy (good thing I did a few auctions before I left to balance out my spending!)
FOUR
I love getting handmade gifts from my friends! One of my friends made everyone a little mason jar coffee scrub for Christmas (whoops, a little delayed getting it!), but I can't wait to dig in!
FIVE
So, Elliott turned 9 months this past week, and now it's time to start thinking about going back to work. My husband and I work in the same building and we are on shift work schedules. I have been fairly stressed about going back to work, because I was on a Mon-Fri job before I went off on maternity leave; but, I do not get the job when I go back to work. So, long story short, in 3 months when I go back to work, we will have to be on opposite shift work schedules.
This week, a Monday-Friday position opened up with a flexible start date, so those of us on Maternity Leave are eligible to apply! It's actually an acting supervisor position; but, my recent job is really related to this position. So I was in full on cover letter and resume writing mode (because dumb me didn't save a copy), and now I'm going to have to interview prep in a couple of weeks! Fingers crossed for me please - this would be so great for me instead of shift work!
