DIY: Flip-flops makeover

Hey Beauties!

I am on a hunt for new summer shoes, every summer. And I also fail every summer, because I have very small feet. Yes, very! So it's hard for me to find anything new. (BTW if you know any good stores that carry very small ladies shoes sizes, hook me up ;). ) That's why I decided to makeover my old flip-flops and keep them going another season with a new look :).

I had these boring white black flip-flops for I don't-even-know how long. I hate their plastic straps (because it hurts when I wear them), so I cut my old stretched shirt and used it to wrap around plastic straps. I used universal glue for wood, textiles and I-don't-know-what-more. You can also do this with a glue gun, or maybe even a super glue- it can't hurt :).

You can leave it hear and I guarantee you, they are A LOT more comfortable :). I decided to use my skull bead and sew it through the shirt fabric on those flip-flops in the middle.

Then I glued two studs on each side of the skull bead. And voila-a new pair of flip-flops :).

You can go as crazy as you want with the flip-flops. I saw some great makeovers on the internet and that's when I thought, why not. I just decorated them appropriate to the style of flip-flops.

Note: I do not recommend wetting those flip-flops, because the glue may not hold them together, if it gets wet. It all depends on which glue you use.

Have you ever renewed the look of your old shoes?
